Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Split PDF online — free and private

Split PDF divides a single PDF document into multiple smaller files. You can split by custom page ranges (for example 1–3, 4–10), or explode the document so every page becomes its own PDF. When your split produces more than one file, PDF10x packages them in a convenient ZIP download.

Everything runs locally in your browser. Your document is never transmitted over the internet, which makes this tool safe for contracts, bank statements, medical records and other sensitive paperwork.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write page ranges?

Separate ranges with commas. Use a dash for spans and single numbers for individual pages. For example, “1-3, 5, 9-12” produces three files: pages 1 to 3, page 5, and pages 9 to 12.

Can I split every page into its own file?

Yes. Choose the “Extract all pages” mode and every page of the document becomes a separate PDF, delivered together in one ZIP file.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The split happens entirely on your device using in-browser processing. Your document never leaves your computer.

Does splitting work on large PDFs?

Yes. Because there is no upload, large files are actually faster here than on server-based tools — no waiting for a 100 MB upload to finish.
